Under the Tuscan Sun

Marcia Adams Little Tuscany in Tagaytay is probably not a secret place anymore. It is gaining popularity through word of mouth. I learned about it from reading blog posts and as I browsed more reviews about it, I became more and more ecstatic to be there. I just had to be there!

And yes, until now I still cannot get over my very delightful gastronomic experience.

Let me first give you a tour of the place.  I find it very intimate and warm. The place is adorned with rustic stones and cement walls. It is surrounded by shrubs and flowers of varying cuts and colors.

As you enter the restaurant, you will be greeted by this cozy and charming dining area.

A cover charge of P700 applies to each adult. This amount includes an appetizer, main course, dessert and a non-alcoholic drink. A 10% service charge will be added.

For appetizer, we had Galician Soup- a Spanish broth with ham, kidney and fava beans, lettuce and potatoes. Hearty and satisfying. What a great way to start a meal!

Grilled Aromatic Pork- massaged with aromatic spices and herbs.

Italian Pork Chop- a grilled loin chop seasoned with fennel and pepper. Served with special organic rice made with leeks and chives.

Bottled Ginger Beer (from Australia) and Homemade Lemon-Lime-Bitters. If you like these, you can actually buy them at P75 each.

Banana Split with Chocolate Ice Cream- This is HEAVENLY!

Panna Cotta with Lemon Sauce

Dining here requires a little waiting as food is cooked upon ordering. I really didn't mind because every bite is truly divine. The food is well-prepared and beautifully-presented. Very tasteful and flavorful.

This is where they put the bill. Lovely, right?

The owners, Neil and Marcia, are very gracious and hands-on. They even gave us a tour of the place and their simple backyard where hired carpenters make furniture. Also, they are planning to expand the restaurant into a bed and breakfast. I hope it will push through! I am confident it will be a big hit.

One word- MEMORABLE. I can’t wait to come back.

If you're planning to dine here, it is advisable to make a reservation. Call or send a message to Marcia at 0917-801-1456.
