At Home in Boracay

With the vast number of beach lovers who visit Boracay one will always chase after a comfortable accommodation at an affordable price. That’s where Milflores de Boracay comes in.

Milflores de Boracay is a 9-room boutique inn
located along the main road, station 1,
less than two minutes walk to the white beach.
Each room is 30 square meters big,
with two queen size beds which comfortably fit four persons.

LOCATION

Although the place is along the main road, the noise of tricycles and passers-by didn’t bother us at all when we closed our doors. The hotel is a short tricycle trip to D’ Mall. If you prefer to walk, there is a small passageway on the left of the hotel which leads to the white beach.

AMENITIES

The rooms are spotless and well-kept. Each has a TV (cable) and DVD player, hot/cold shower and split type air-conditioning system. There are two queen size beds (1.6 meters wide). WIFI is accessible in the reception area only.

In addition to these there are books, magazines and DVDs which you can use for free if you would rather stay in the room. There are large cabinets and drawers to hang your clothes and store other belongings.

I like the firm beds, fluffy pillows and luxurious linens. The linens have a wonderful and crisp smell; no irritating chemical stink. There are four pillows on each bed so there is no need to request for additional ones if prefer sleeping surrounded by pillows.

The washroom is spacious and complete with rolled tissue, hand napkin, hairdryer, disposable toothbrush and complimentary soap and shampoo bar.

The bath towels and hand towels are soft to the skin and smell so clean and fresh. Just be careful not to stain them because stained towels (bed sheets and linens too) will be charged to the guests. The hotel also provides beach towels free of charge.

The hotel has boutique which carries t-shirts from Electrolychee and paper products by Pepper Roxas and Milflores merchandise.

RATE

Milflores de Boracay has an all-year round rate of P2,300 per room. That’s P575 per person/night. It’s a superb deal so it’s advisable to book early to get a slot considering that there are only nine rooms in the whole structure.

Check-in time is 2 pm. Check-out time is 12 nn.

FOOD

Each room comes with a complimentary breakfast for two which is served from 6:30 to 10 in the morning. It’s a choice between Filipino and American breakfast.

SERVICE

The employees are attentive, courteous and helpful. We were asked in advance what we wanted for breakfast so that they could prepare it right away the next morning. They even suggested good restaurants to try and cool hang-out places to visit in the island.

If you’re planning a vacation in Boracay I highly recommend Milflores de Boracay. I’m sure you will love the remarkably affordable package- modern and tidy place, fine amenities and well-mannered staff.

FYI. One of the owners of Milflores de Boracay is Carlos Chan, founder of Liwayway Marketing Corporation which produces the Oishi line of snacks. He is the brother of Ben Chan, the man behind the successful clothing and lifestyle chain Bench.

Hello MrsMartinez! Yes, it's very cost effective. We were surprised because at a very affordable rate, we enjoyed the fine amenities and the clean rooms. It's not beach front but it's still great. A two-minute walk from the hotel to the beach is not bad at all. :)
